71 year old Brian Jacques, noted author of children’s series Redwall, has passed away of a heart attack. The redwall series is now 22 entries strong, with The Sable Quean just released, and his final novel The Rogue Crew, coming out later this year.

I highly recommend reading some of the Redwall series if possible, if only to indulge your childhood self.
